Humor and laughter can help us gain a better perspective on our lives,
and really see what’s important. The ability to laugh at oneself, at our messy mistakes is really something to develop. When we take everything life hands us so seriously, we can get stuck in the muck and not recognize what's really valuable.
Laughter, with some regularity, can help a person reduce the stress and can even lead to better health. High levels of stress can contribute to illness and disease such as stomach conditions, heart problems and more.
Humor can turn a difficult day into one that's infused with more flexibility and the ability to face challenges as they arise. It's a wonderful coping strategy to use successfully to handle the difficult, unexpected and often challenging situations. It can help us recover more quickly from whatever has to be faced.
Relationships thrive on humor and laughter. Humor can diffuse difficult moments and experiences between people. A tense situation can quickly change into a more lighthearted one between two people with the aid of humor.
Research demonstrates that when we laugh and find the humor in life situations, endorphins, the “feel-good” chemicals in the brain, are released and make us feel even better. Other physical benefits include the release of body tension.
Humor is contagious and can improve and create positive interaction between people. People gravitate to those who are upbeat and fun to be with, rather than people who are sullen and morose. When we're upbeat, we're more attractive to others and they feel better about themselves when in our company. So put a smile on your face, lighten up and find something to brighten your day!

Vision and Action for your Goals
William Butler Yeats, famous author and poet, once wrote "No lasting achievement is possible without a vision, and no dream can become real without action and responsibility."
I agree with Yeats and yet there's more...
With vision and knowledge of what you desire, you create a strong picture that guides your mind. Action and responsiblity are key players. Although dreaming and intention are powerful, they need to be backed up. You can't just sit by the sidelines and wait. Action also signals your mind that your dream and vision are not just lofty goals, but ones that you want to activate in your reality and the world.
As a believer and professional in energy medicine, I know and have witnessed amazing results and unlimited possibilities. They can be achieved. Often, what's seems magical is not really magic at all. Energy is at work.
Put the energy in your dreams and visions, but also build the energy in the action plan to take charge of what you want and where you're going. It strengthens the dream and vision and adds more clarity. The clearer your vision can be, the more real.

Step up to Your Life
Sometimes we take life for granted. Sleepwalking, delaying getting things accomplished, always with the idea that we can get to it later or even tomorrow. We postpone our actions and communications to others. Often, that also means postponing the joys and wonderful surprises and opportunites that can be had by stepping up to the task, the relationship, the social event.
And then, something happens that shakes us into the realization that life is too precious to be put on hold. Death of a family member or a beloved friend or pet lets us know that we can't afford to delay.
Step up to your life and your love with the understanding that when you do, you say yes to all of it: the upturns and downturns. A resounding 'yes' means you are willing to take the risk that each new day will bring. I know I am, and I feel grateful to be able to do so.
