We can choose to live consciously or let the winds blow us hither and yon.
Personally, I like to be the captain of my own ship. Although there will be moments, even days, where we may feel tossed around and our plans don't seem to take hold, it's still important to set the course and steer confidently towards our destination.
At the end of each day, do you take stock and know where you've been and have more than a small inkling where you're going and what the next day has in store for you?
There is so much information and so many details that storing them in your head is no longer a viable option.
Instead, keep to-do lists and plan ahead.
The beauty of our technology is that it offers us many built-in options to organize, plan, categorize and research.
Take advantage of the available resources to plan your days, set your course and come out ahead.

Personal Leadership
We are all leaders. We have to manage ourselves and our lives, work, family, time and more. Sometimes it seems that we are spinning in circles and not getting anywhere.
To gain more control is to first recognize that you are the responsible one for your life, your actions and ultimately the results. That appears obvious to most of us, but not always.
When things go wrong or when there are mishaps or faulty steps, who do you blame? Often, we blame what happens to us on others, the weather, our families, our upbringing and history, our genes, etc.
I know that other factors contribute, but don't be so quick to let yourself off the hook. We have a personal responsiblity to take charge and be accountable for what happens to us without accusing or blaming other people or events.
When we do and when we're more connected to our beliefs, our goals and values, life feels better and flows better. That's when life has more meaning. And when all goes well and life seems to work magically, you can take all the credit!
