Bullying & Cyberbullying: What can we do?

Bullying has become a huge problem in the United States and all around the globe. It's estimated that 5.7 million teens are involved in bullying, whether they're the victim or the bully.

Bullying is repetitive, intentional agressive behavior that is unwanted and can cause physical, emotional, pyschological and relational harm and can result in violence and tragedy. It can have serious negative effects on the bully and the one being bullied. Bullying is a serious issue, experienced by kids of all ages, male and female, as well as adults and seems to be escalating.

Bullying is growing more prevalent on the internet, with texting, instant messaging, blogging, social media and chatrooms. It can become violent and is severe harassment that can ruin reputations, lead to stress, anxiety, depression and even suicide.

Learn how to protect yourself and your children. Tonight, Saturday, December 4th, I'll be on Fox 29 WTXF-TV on the 6:00 pm news to talk more about bullying and cyberbullying!
